Who Nose...whats next

Clever advertising. I am always on the lookout for new ads and genius marketing strategies. I recently found this one, created by DDB in Canada. It is for a plastic surgeons practice, and this is how he marketed his services, offering potential clients this new and fun concept of having nose surgery.

Very- Clever……………………My nose is perfect so I am sticking to StarBucks........lol

Check this out

Please excuse the (C) word. No offence intended. I love these cards, and have plenty of people i want to send these to.

Has someone you know given birth to a ugly baby? Are you cheating on your partner and want to find an interesting way in telling them? Is your mother-in-law a cunt ?If you answer yes to any of these questions, you may need to express yourself with a straight to the point greeting card from Australian card company Grating Cards. The range is brutally honest as well as bloody hilarious. With something for everyone, these cards would make the founder of Hallmark roll in his grave, lol. Well I can think of a few people that I would like to send these cards too.

Beard or No Beard,

Hey, big news. BIG NEWS

I shaved my beard off, probably no big deal,,, yeah to YOU. But for me, its the first time in years. I usualy keep a shaved beard just so i dont look like a complete teenager at work, or in meetings. But on Thursday I was like, what am I doing, I am 27, and look like some hippy freak- so I shaved the lot off, except for a small lightly shaven goatee..............

I look so young though...........thats cool.

Anyway the debate is Should I grow my beard back, takes around 11 hrs, or just keep shaving and get my Boy from next door look back. lol. Let me know...............................

Feeling Drained ???????????

Had a great nights sleep yesterday. Didnt go into work as I was so so tired. I think the weather is really draining me.

Speaking of draining, a good friend of mine have always had this theory of "Friends", the Drainers and the Energizers-- Those friends who always comment negatively, or always put you down, or even just never want to try anything new, who just spend their lifes doing the same old, same old. Not willing to experience new things, or just push you to, and evolve, to give you the confidence to be a better and more rounded person. Its importnat to note that we all have a Drainer in our life- try to identify who yours are. It really does effect you............ Then you have the Energizer, I am quite lucky to say I have one, she actually works with me, and is a constant Energy for my ideas. She is always pushing me, and encouraging me to pursue certian design ambitions, and so on. These people, Energizers- are people who egg you on to try new things, who inspire you and give you positive words, and are HAPPY for you when you do well...........................Identify your Energizers and Drainers.

All I Want Is A Good Nights Sleep.

It seems to me that my sleeping habits are becoming more and more erratic as I get older. I used to sleep evry easily in my early twenties and as the years have passed, I seem to sleep less and less. At present I am clocking about 5/6 hours at night- and sometimes and hour after work in the afternoon.

Can it be that I am stressed, I dont think so, things are pritty good at the momment. work is fine, infact a little slow at the momment. Family is good, and I am about to embark on a few projects that I am quite excited about. So what could it be, is it that I just dont need that much sleep. I have to admit, that unlike before, if I am in bed tossing and turning, I just get up and do other things till I become so tired that I have to sleep. Can anyone shed any light on this. ??

Skin Skin Skin

The weather is just to hot to bare, it really is starting to soar way up into the early 40's. How will we get thru the summer. I learnt my lesson last week, when I basically baked my skin till it became crispy, and is now peeling off slowly.

Why do we do it. We lay out under the scorching sun, allowing the rays to cook us- so that our skin becomes cooked, well done- for a few days of (Tanned skin). To look healthy, yeah really healthy when your skin looks like leather, pigmented and really soar.

Keeping out of the sun, or at least under the shade protects us from those harmfull ultra violet rays, it keeps us away from all types of skin disease, and keeps our skin, fresh, plump and healthy. So you know what, next time you think about sunbathing just to get a quick tan, think about the effects in the long run, how you will look in ten or fifteen years, no one will remeber your tan then.

I have well and truly learnt my lesson.

It's baseball cap, sunglasses and sun factor (30) from now on for me. Get the Message

AGE, 27 -29 3- or even 40

Does age matter. On a recent trip abroad I was asked for my id upon the entrance of a club, is this an insult or a compliment. I would say a compliment. The bouncer asked me if I was 21, to which I replyed "of course" I guess it is cool, not looking your age. Although I do somtimes enter meetings to be welcomed with astonished lookes, or weird facial expressions, as to why this kid is here, lol.

I am 27 years old, but I do feel like I am 22. I hope that when I am 35 I look like a 25 year old. They say age is how you feel inside, well I feel 22, so that is the end of the story, I am 22.

What do you feel about age?, does it just creep upon you. I sometimes wonder how I got to 27, that is only 13 years away from being 40, now that is an age when you do have to sit and think "hey what am I doing in my life". But then again I guess you are doing what you are doing, why do we always have to meet other poeople's expectations, at 30 we should be married, well no, I dont have to be anything except happy with where and what I am doing. If you are happy and not hurting others, then where is the problem. As Arabs we beleive that we have to get married to make our familys happy, well yes, but not to someone whom we dont want, someone whom they have chosen, for god sake, we are the ones that have to spend our life with them. I like the idea of arranged, but not arranged in the sense of no choice.

My affair with Paris

Why do I love Paris so much? I am not sure, it could be the ambience of the city, the language that resembles romance, the architecture- I have always had a love for French renaissance, classical, architecture and furniture. It could be the people, the openness of the self, body and spirit, or just the food. Great clubs and amazing shopping.

If I weren’t European-Arab I would love to be French. I love the way they speak, their language is so romantic, the way the words are pronounced. I enjoy the city, the different districts that offer so many cafes and delicatessens that sell stuffed olives, feta cheese or brie along with fresh crusty bread. The Champs Elysée that can be found busy at 3 am. I also love the nightlife, the array of clubs where you can meet personalities of every sect from all over the planet.

So next time you have a couple of days off, hope on a plane and visit Paris.

I was hesitating on getting married but hey, with this-it does not sound so bad.lol

What a Joker

Do You Have Enough Time For Fun?

Is there enough time in your day for fun? Are you able to find moments to laugh at the little things? Are you able to see the joy in your job, you family, and your friends? I am always joking around, it keeps me young. It's healthy to laugh, it does not mean that I dont get my job done, or that I am not seriouse. on the contrary, I take my job very seriously.

Are you too focused on getting things done rather than focusing on what's important to you? Are you too busy checking off items on your to-do list? Are you unable to remember the last time you had fun?

Fun is what brightens our world. It gives us a reason to get out of bed everyday. It improves our health, mental well-being, and self-confidence.
Would You Like To Have More Fun? if so then acknowledge that You Are Not Having Fun
The first step to having fun is admitting that fun is missing. Once you know it's gone, you can take steps to put it back in. Recognize That Life Is Too Short, we say that we understand this, but sometimes our actions are not consistent with our words. If we really understood that we may not be here tomorrow, we would do everything in our power to enjoy today.

Realize That We All Make Mistakes
Sometimes we cannot have fun because of guilt we feel from past mistakes. All your guilt does is prevent you from moving forward. It does not matter what you did yesterday. You did the best you could and you should congratulate yourself for trying. I am always making mistakes, I hope that I learn from them. I just put it behind me, and try to enjoy the future.

Spend Time Around Kids,
There is nothing that fills the heart more than watching kids. (Usually) They enjoy life to the fullest and they do so without inhibitions or restraints. They laugh because they want to. They run because they want to. They roll in the mud, snow, grass, etc. because it feels good. Imagine if you could incorporate that kind of freedom into your day. I bet it would be different.
So take a leaf out of my book, and have fun......................

Friendship....................REL______P

Lost friend
In the last few months a very close friend of mine has become distant, due to many reasons. However hard you may try losses are inevitable…One day, after an unsatisfactory phone call or after a strained talk at an all-out blowout, you mutter to yourself, "What's wrong? Why am I not feeling he/she is like a friend? Something has gone…has been lost" WHY...Why would a once close friend suddenly, or even gradually, turns into lost friend? Well... Most friendships break for one of three main reasons: a major change such as marriage or a move...neglect...or the betrayal.

Life is motion…all what is our life has to constantly move forward…we have to work, develop, never let it die out…Some friendships die because they aren't moving forward. They die from stagnation or plain neglect. You promised to call but didn't. You knew it was your friend's birthday, but were too busy to celebrate…Think about it. When we're busy, we only do what comes easy, and even good friendships aren't always easy. Lack of attention and concern is sure to cause a rift. And when it does, it almost always catches us off guard, when we least expect it or can least handle it: when we're going through stressful times at school, work, or home that make us less attentive and less able to respond—which is what caused the neglect to begin with. That's why it can seem that the best friendships break precisely when we need them the most.

So take a look around yourself. When was the last time you gave your friend back home a call, or sent a card. I have so many friends from my Uni days that I have just lost contact with. Having a network of friends around the world is one of the best things ever. Having instant access to information, cultures and countries is amazing.

Take the time to call your friends, pay attention to their needs, and surprise them once and a while.

As for me, I am going to try and get a very important friend back, hope your reading.

Oman

Mohammed this is just to say Thank You. Me and my friend went to Oman a couple of years back and made some very good friends called Salah and Mohammed. They took us all around Oman and showed us just how nice and generous Omani people can be. In the last few months Mohammed has visited us here in Qatar and alsways takes us out for dinner. I love had an amazing time in Oman, In spite of its rapid modernization, its way of life remains largely traditional and in accordance with conservative Islamic values. With a strong commercial tradition, accumulation of wealth is viewed positively, although the great majority of Omanis were extremely poor until the discovery of oil in the 1960s. The extended family is the basic social unit, headed by its eldest male member. Marriages are arranged, if possible between first cousins but always within the same ethnic and social group. While the sexes are traditionally segregated outside the home, some men and women now work together in private and government offices. Women have entered the professions and now serve on both the police force and the national Consultative Council. So as you can see, its a pritty amazing place and the scenery is just amazing, so much greenerty. Go for a weekend and explore.

Listening

In these modern times we as people are very busy, I certainly am. I have multiple distractions. Distractions such as cell phones, computers, Ipods and 24/7 television. I am constantly talking. Even when we are listening we are continually chattering in our brain. Formulating an answer, or reacting to what is being said. We all want to talk, but so few wish to listen. We hear what is being said but are we really listening? I often ask myself what is Listening?

To go into this question we can begin with what it is not. Maybe from there we can discover its quality. Listening is not a reaction. Listening is not talking. Listening is not thinking. Listening is not what someone tells you it is. What I mean by that is. You and I could describe it, but that is not listening, that is merely its description. I could describe water to you, however the description of water will not quench your thirst.

When a person is listening there are no reactions. There is no thinking. There is no talking. Listening is not judging. Listening as I see it is a very humble quality. There is no me. There is no what I want to say. Listening is very revealing. Listening to your own thoughts or what others say can be very informative.

These days we lay so much emphasis on the intellect that we close our hearts and remove the beating moment to moment of life, because we are no longer listening. We have filled our lives with knowledge, beliefs, opinions, which lead to prejudgments.

The importance of listening is this. When you are not listening you are not learning. When you are not listening you are preventing opportunity. The fact that you do not listen reveals the reality that your mind is closed. When you are not listening you are preventing intelligence. When you are not listening there is nothing new, there are only your reactions. If you wish to live life to its fullest, then listening is vital..........

How Weird is This

Recently I have been dreaming a lot. I am having the most weirdest, but emotionaly enjoying dreams. What does it all mean. I have had a few very bad dreams in the last few years and all of them have come to life, in some form which kind of scares me. It is said that our dreams combine verbal, visual and emotional stimuli into a sometimes broken, nonsensical but often entertaining story line. We can sometimes even solve problems in our sleep. Many of my friends disagree on exactly what the purpose of our dreams might be. Are they strictly random brain impulses, or are our brains actually working through issues from our daily life while we sleep -- as a sort of coping mechanism? Should we even bother to interpret our dreams? Many say yes, that we have a great deal to learn from our dreams. One friend in particuluar, F...... always used to interpret my dreams, creating a whole scenario from which to look at.

In my most recent dream, which I have had two times, see's me in the role of an important anchor man reporting from a helicopter what seems to be a man living on an island alone, the weird thing is that when I report on the man on the island, I am actually speaking about myself. It is weird and confusing...................

What are your ideas......

HERE YOU COME AGAIN

Here you come again
Just when I've begun to get myself together
You waltz right in the door
Just like you've done before
And wrap my heart 'round your little finger

Here you come again
Just when I'm about to make it work without you
You look into my eyes
And lie those pretty lies
And pretty soon I'm wonderin' how I came to doubt you

All you got to do is smile that smile
And there go all my defenses
Just leave it up to you and in a little while
You're messin' up my mind and fillin' up my senses

Here you come again
Lookin' better than a body has a right to
And shakin' me up so that all I really know
Is here you come again
And here I go

All you have to do is smile that smile
And there go all my defenses
Just leave it up to you and in a little while
You're messin' up my mind and fillin' up my senses

PEOPLE WATCHING OR JUST JUDGING

Some cafes are made for coffee; others for meeting up with friends; others to meet new people; still others to sit and read. My favorite cafes, however, are the ones made for people-watching: where you can spend a full afternoon, evening, night, until morning - and then repeat the same routine again - sitting, drinking coffee after coffee, carefully observing everyone who is in the cafe and who walks by. The art of people-watching involves studying the subjects, guessing who they are, where they are coming from, where they are going, what they are doing, what they are thinking. The experienced people-watcher is the same as the amateur social scientist.

Two of the best places for peopel watching is the Hagen Daz cafe in Leicester Square or even Pizza Pino on the Champs Elysees during August, or even Le Rendez-Vous des Belges.

Alt.coffee -- the original Internet cafe -- is more like a cafe right down the street from a hostel in Amsterdam than in New York City. The denizens of the cafe, young with their post-grungy look, look like they have just arrived in New York straight from Amsterdam or Prague; they often have. Alt.coffee is the friendlist cafe in Manhattan; I always meet people when I'm there and, more often then not, they have something interesting to tell me. Some days women vastly outnumber men, and some days vice-versa. The great lighting, comfortable couches, strong air conditioning, and the fact that they never kick out make it the perfect place to spend an afternoon or evening reading. Check it out- at 139 Avenue A, New York, NY

Our Latest Movie

This is me and Jennifer, as you can see we are haveing some issues. It is our new movie, After Jennifer calls it quits with me, neither one of us is willing to move out of the condo we share. Taking the advice of our repsective friends and confidants (and a few total strangers), we both engage in mental warfare designed to force the other person to flee our premises -- until we both realize that we might be fighting to keep our relationship alive. Go and see it i the movie theaters when it comes out.................

Joke of the Week.......

A man is rushing to work one day when he is knocked down by a car. When he comes round in the hospital, his wife is sitting next to the bed. He turns to her and says, "When I was unpopular at school, you took the time to get to know me and we started dating. When I failed my degree at university, you were there beside me. When I couldn't get a job through failing my degree, you were there beside me. When I did get a job, the same job I have been doing for 15 years without a pay rise, you were there beside me. I get run over, wake up in the hospital and you are there beside me. I have something I really need to say to you..." Choking back tears, the man's wifemoves to sit on the bed. She gently picks up her husband's hand in hers, "Yes my darling?" she says, "FUCK OFF, YOU BRING ME BAD LUCK!"

Excuse the bad language...................................................................................................

I want HER

For those of you who know me, it is not often that I am star struck or fascinated by certain people, but, and it is a big BUT, I have not been able to stop thinking about this lady for the last few weeks. I have had a Jennifer Aniston DVD marathon, starting with friends, to Derailed, Along Came Poly, Rumour Has It, right down to her Oprah interviews. She comes accross as being so humble in a very sincere and welcoming way. I never found her extremely attractive before, where as now, I am besoted by her looks, her body and even her way of speaking....... "Jennifer where are you," are their any Jennifer look alikes out their- lol . Brad what are you thinking, Anjelina is cute, but you had a real Friend........ what every man needs...

The Past........................AF

The past, past, well now let me tell you about the past, The past is filled with silent joys and broken toys, laughing girls and teasing boys,
Was I ever in love? I called it love- I mean, it felt like love.

There were moments when, well, there were moments when Present, Go out with you? Why not.
Do I like to dance? Of Course, Take a walk along the beach tonight? I'd love to,
But don't try to touch me, don't try to touch me Cos that will never happen again, Shall we dance.
The future, Tomorrow? well tomorrows a long way off Maybe someday I'll have somebody's hand, Maybe somewhere someone will understand.

You know I used to sing- a tisket a tasket a green and yellow basket I'm all packed up and I'm on my way and I'm gonna fall in love, But at the moment it doesn't look good At the moment it will never happen again ????????????????????????????????????????

Aries

People born under the sign of the ram are supposed to be hot headed, quick tempered, impulsive, impatient and impossible. They love to give orders and they hate to take them. They are fearless but thoughtless, energetic but disorganised, gloriously independent, wonderfully ambitious and eternally hungry for a new adventure. The Truth: There is of course, an element of truth in all this but there's a lot more to the story. We're talking about an inclination, not an obligation. Many people born under this sign are wise thinkers and careful planners. It's just even the most mild, meek mannered member of this cosmic club has another "secret side". There will always be one area of their life in which they simply cannot stop themselves from picking fights, breaking rules and taking wild risks. The Key To Success: If you were born under the sign of the ram, you should consider yourself blessed. Aries personality traits are extremely useful and they can, if put to proper use, ensure a life full of impressive achievement. You've got amazing willpower and initiative. There's nothing you can't tackle if you try. You need though, to watch out for a tendency to create a life full of difficulty, just so that you always have something to sort out. You like living "close to the edge"; but if you could only manage to stand one step back from it, a lot more of your projects would come to fruition

This is Amazing...with a capital -A-

You must watch the movie, or read,
The best-selling novel "Memoirs of a Geisha" depicts life as a geisha in Japan in the World War II era. The heroine arrives at a geisha house as a slave and becomes one of the most successful women in Gion. She is a dancer, a musician and a woman without a lot of choices. Her virginity is sold to the highest bidder for a record sum, earning her a place in geisha history.
It is a story of hardship, exploitation and tremendous success. A geisha is a woman highly trained in the arts of music, dance and entertaining. Geisha is Japanese for "person of art." She spends many years learning to play various musical instruments, sing, dance and be the perfect hostess in a party of men. A geisha, when she is working, is just that: the illusion of female perfection.
Many Westerners confuse geisha with prostitutes. Those who understand the intricacies of Japanese culture explain that a geisha is not a prostitute. A true geisha is successful because she projects a sense of unattainable perfection. When men hire geisha to entertain at a party, sex has nothing to do with it. A geisha entertains with singing, music, dance, story-telling, attentiveness and flirtation. She can speak about politics as easily as she can explain the rules of a drinking game. In a time when Japanese wives were excluded from public life in general, geisha were the women who could play the role of attentive female at business gatherings.
The original geisha were men, and they entertained all over Japan -- social restrictions dictated that women could not entertain at a party. These men kept the conversation going, gave artistic performances and flattered guests at parties thrown by noblemen and other members of the upperclass. In the 1700s, women calling themselves geisha first appeared in the "pleasure districts" of Japan. There are many takes on the origins of the female geisha
Anyhow, this is just a quick insight, read the book, memoirs of a Geisha, and go see the movie, at City centre or the Mall…………………….its good to know about this stuff…..

Mixed ??????????????????

British Mother, Arab Father, a whole lot of confusion, feelings and emotions.
I am a mixed race 26 year old. My father is Arab, so I therefore have Arab genes and my mother is from the UK, which is where I was brought up and educated. I often find that when I am in the UK that I am treated and looked upon as an Arab or a foreigner, as is when I am in the Arab world, I am looked at as a foreigner due to my features and overall look. So often feel lost, and fit in nowhere. I therefore consider myself a citizen of the universe. Jumping from one place to another, with the aim of picking up the best of both worlds or cultures, picking and selecting the traits and behaviors of what I would consider to be a healthy mix of both Arab and Western life.Being mixed is confusing, not only to me but to others, some may say that I am Arab and have got a British passport; some may say that I am British trying to be Arab. I am basically just trying to be me, which is hard, I want to be everything and nothing to everyone, I am a Muslim, but a Muslim that was brought up in the UK, that in itself is a fight, a worthy fight in the name of Allah, none the less a battle trying to explain to other Europeans, why I can and cant do certain things. I am just jumping from one zone, attitude, language and barrier after the other all the time. I would just like to say having to cultures from two different ethnical backgrounds (parents) is confusing but also very interesting, I wouldn’t swap it for anything. I also look forward to sharing my experiences with my wife-Inshallah

I just dont understand

Can you explain the end to me, its so weird. I dont normaly read books like this, anyway so the final riddle leads him to the pyramid inversee and the mini pyramid just below that right? so what was it there that was to be discovered? i mean maybe it wasnt a cup per se but i thought it was something material that could be found that would explain 1) how it could bring wealth/power to whomever held it 2) why there would be a need to have some many riddles to hide such a thing in the first placebecause the impression i got was what he found was just an abstract concept (the whole sacred feminine thing that they had repeated a million times by the climax and resolution)...anyone help me out? I actually found this book really hard to read and undertsand, but i guess the movie will be here soon and that will explain a lot.

This is Disgusting.........

How can people eat this. Whats going on in the world? Have you ever been to the East, I love The East, but honestly, how can anyone eat this stuff. Its all over the place. They sell it in the market place, in the shops, even in 7/11.

A Toffee Flavoured Candy - which contains a real edible scorpion! Scorpions are said to have many health benefits, and are also considered to be aphrodisiacs, so even more reason to lick on this exciting lolly!
BBQ Flavour Worm Crisps - These tasty little snacks are oven baked not fried! The worms are farm raised specially for human consumption, and are fed on a diet of select grains and cereals. There is approximately 15 worms per bag, they taste very similar to toasted popcorn and are seasoned with BBQ. I have heard, Lol. Omar dont eat this stuff.

Monkey Picked Tea - Monkey picked tea leaves are famous in their native China, and get their name from the fact that trained monkeys have to pick them the name does not refer to a particular type of tea, but monkey picked tea comes from the leaves of wild tea plants that grow in inaccessible places, such as on high cliff faces, so to harvest them people train special monkeys

Anyway I am sticking to Mc-Donalds. Apparently its the same rubbish. lol

What a Car....................

This is a car, man this is a car, the colour is so amazingly powerfull and vibrant. A complete clasic, I want this car more than i want a Mercedes Sl55.......

Lamborghini Miura, widely considered one of the most beautiful coupes ever. That's why it was a particular thrill to see the Miura also resurrected for the 21st century in Detroit. Borrowing all the best aesthetic features from the original (naughty-girl eyeliner around the headlamps, black rear window louvers, high-fin tail), Walter de'Silva's updated design nearly equals its predecessor in beauty. The only catch? The new Miura is just a concept at this stage. That means it does not exist, yest, unless you have the cash to have it manufactured. Check this out..................Omar wants a Lamborghini

FROM SUPERSTAR TO SUPER LOOSER

Michael what happened, what is the deal......from Superstar, to poor guy......
I used to love Michael, but he seems to have just destroyed himself..

I can still remember watching Michael on tv when i was a kid, amazed at the moonwalk, thriller and all the rest, he was amazing, talented and extremely famouse, but over the years he has deteriated into a real looser, never learning fromhis mistakes, all the press about kids, all the debt. Look at the picture above, wearing an Abaya in Bahrain. I have also read the the hospitality shown by the Bahrain Royal family has now tired and he is no longer welcome anymore. This dude has transformed into a proper nerd. Just look at the pictures above, look at the nose.

I-Pod Nano

Look at this cool stuff. Ok so you have the I-pod, and the Nano, yes the best I-pod of them all, but you know its going to get scratched so easy, whats the deal, just two days after buying it, the screen is scratched and marked like its ten years old. Anyway here is the coolest belt ever_____
The I-pod Nano just fits right into it.....................

Me and Mohammed ( come on he is half Kuwaiti)

What a hard time, why cant guys get into clubs without girls, how can we get a girl if we cant get inside the club, it does not make sense.

Anyway Missing you S, when you coming back, you know who you are . Hope Dubai is cool. Cool jeans on the right, from Salsa, and then you have Mr. Cavali in the middle (Salam Plaza) mall. and then you have Armani and Deisel. Come on girls-call us...........................

VOTE FOR THE CUTEST......................................................................??????????

The best for Summer 2006 ( My Choice )

Look at this Gucci bag, made of Cow Leather, not as flexible as the stradler, but hey its cool for winter, below you can find the cloth version, with washbag, this bag is pritty cool for Dubai trips.

These shoes are amazing, they may look formal, but they aint. They are cool with denim jeans, turned up, with a white blazer, black Te-shirt.
I have the Viser and my bro took it. But the summer chain is cool for the beach, see you at the intercon this summer, or shall we do Ritz. Actually i prefer the Ramada pool, but somhow gucci is wasted there. The sandals are wicked, but need the belt to go with...............

Gucci does it again-----------------------
Look at how cool this bag is. It also has the shaving bag, or wash bag. I guess we will probably have to go to Villa Moda here at the Ritz-Doha or wait till we get a chance to go to London or Paris- or even Kuwait.

I guess its a choice, Vuitton, Fendi or Gucci. This year Fendi has brought out a terrible new fall collection, Villa Moda has it instore, sure you received the message, anyway its terrible. Its like a plastic imatation.

Mohammed Al-Mana

-Mohammed Al Mana-
What a man, well we all admire people, some admire singers, writers, movie stars and so on. For me one particuluar man stands out, He is also chairman of Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI), a body that strongly advocates protecting the interests of the local business community.

You can always see Moahmmed around, at all the functions, he is well educated, young and very sophisticated in his manner. I like the way that he deals with people, as a business graduate it is people such as he that we look for regarding inspiration. A brilliant interview that he gave can be found at the below address. http://www.gulfbusiness.com/html/articleview.asp?cid=862

why I practice YOGA

WHY SHOULD I PRACTICE YOGA
OMAR
The short answer is that yoga makes you feel better. Practicing the postures, breathing exercises and meditation makes you healthier in body, mind and spirit. Yoga lets you tune in, chill out, shape up -- all at the same time. As I am a writer and most of my job involves researcha and choosing words, i often find myself with headaches or neck pain from looking at the screen, however i found that practicing Yoga really does help. It is not just a practice that exists for arty farty people. I dont even attend classes. I bought the DVD, practiced at home and enjoyed the peace that I really did experience.

For many people, that's enough of an answer. But there's more if you're interested.

For starters, yoga is good for what ails you. Specifically, research shows that yoga helps manage or control anxiety, arthritis, asthma, back pain, blood pressure, carpal tunnel syndrome, chronic fatigue, depression, diabetes, epilepsy, headaches, heart disease, multiple sclerosis, stress and other conditions and diseases. What's more, yoga:

* Improves muscle tone, flexibility, strength and stamina
* Reduces stress and tension
* Boosts self esteem
* Improves concentration and creativity
* Lowers fat
* Improves circulation
* Stimulates the immune system
* Creates sense of well being and calm.

And that's just the surface stuff. In fact, most of the benefits mentioned above are secondary to yoga's original purpose.

Developed in India, yoga is a spiritual practice that has been evolving for the last 5,000 years or so. The original yogis were reacting, in part, to India's ancient Vedic religion, which emphasized rituals. The yogis wanted a direct spiritual experience -- one on one -- not symbolic ritual. So they developed yoga.
Yoga means "union" in Sanskrit, the classical language of India. According to the yogis, true happiness, liberation and enlightenment comes from union with the divine consciousness known as Brahman, or with Atman, the transcendent Self. The various yoga practices are a methodology for reaching that goal.

In hatha yoga, for example, postures and breathing exercises help purify the mind, body and spirit so the yogi can attain union. Pranayama breathing exercises help clear the nadis, or channels, that carry prana the universal life force, allowing prana to flow freely. When the channels are clear and the last block at the base of the spine has been opened, Kundalini rises through the spine, through the central channel called the sushumna-nadi, and joins the crown chakra. According to the tradition, the release of Kundalini leads to enlightenment and union.
Omar If you do yoga will you become enlightened?

Well…you might (of course, it could take a few lifetimes of diligent practice). But then again you might not. But it doesn't really matter because yoga is a process, and there's a lot of good to be had along the way.

What if you don't believe in talk about enlightenment, spirit and the rest of it?

That's okay, too. Yoga doesn't discriminate. Even if you don't believe in the spiritual side of life, you can still do yoga. Whether enlightenment, nadis, prana and Kundalini is literal truth, metaphor or myth is irrelevant. If you do yoga, chances are that you will feel its psycho-physiological effects.

Moreover, the concept of union has a powerful down-to-Earth meaning. Yoga helps us get in touch with our true selves. Between work, home and all of the demands and stresses in between, it's easy to lose touch with who we are, that core essence with which we were born. Rushing around all day it sometimes feels like the "I" inside is simply the result of the things we do all day -- or the effects those things have on our minds, bodies and spirits.

Ever say "I am hungry" or "I am stressed"? We identify with our conditions. It's like "hungry" or "stressed" is a name (Hi. I'm Stressed. What's your name?) As a result, our identities shift with our moods and conditions. In truth, however, we are not the conditions we experience or things we do. We are not our jobs or the thousands of tasks that make up our jobs. We are not the sensations or emotions we feel. We are not the car we drive or the house we live in. We are not "S/he Who Must Pay Bills." We are not Mr. and Ms. Stressed. Strip away the emotions, sensations and conditions and somewhere deep down inside you are still there. Strip it all away and you find out who you really are.

The techniques developed by the yogis to transcend also help us strip away the things that try to mis-define us -- the emotions, sensations, desires, achievements and failures of daily life. Through yoga we learn to develop a greater awareness of our physical and psychological states. As a result, we're in a position to better manage our reactions to the thoughts, feelings and responses we have to the various situations we deal with every day.

With greater awareness comes the sensitivity and skill to find and remove the physical and psychological blocks that often keep us from our true selves. We no longer identify with our conditions. Instead of saying, "I am stressed," we begin to say, "I feel stress," or "stress is present." It's a subtle but powerful difference.

Or better yet, we say "I feel anxiety and fear, and that's causing stress and in particular it's causing tension in my neck and shoulder." So we breathe deeply to soothe the anxiety. We review the events that led to the onset of those feelings, and in the process they lose their grip on our nervous system. We intentionally relax our shoulder and neck to prevent the stress and tension from building into a permanent condition.

Yoga gives us control of ourselves. It helps cut through the layers of mis-identities that arise in response to our actions, experiences and feelings. It calms the frenzy, clears the clutter and allows us to get back in touch with ourselves.

Yoga is union with self.

Or, as Patanjali, one of the great yoga sages, said:

Yogashcittavrittinirodhah (Yoga stills the fluctuations of the mind).

Tada drashthuh svarupe' vasthanam (Then the true self appears.)

However, yoga is not about self-absorption. Yoga is about being in the world. Although most books, videos and websites focus on yoga postures, breathing and meditation, the tradition also emphasizes love, compassion, knowledge and right action as paths toward union.

Whether you pursue yoga as a spiritual path or for its psycho-physiological benefits, yoga is a methodology for developing a deeper experience of your self and the world.

And it makes you feel really good.

D&G ----Whats New, I WANT IT

I hate this mobile. Nokia what are you doing? . It is the worst peice of metal I have had the misfortune of using. Yeah it looks great, its small, compact and very stylish, and thats why it is so unbearable to use. The peice of kit is so compact that you can hardly press the keys, the keys are far to small to be pressed with a full finger. The camera is lousey and terrible where there is no light. The ringtones are ok, but one vital component is missing: A memory card, so that puts a stop to storing videos, music downloads, or even tunes. What where Nokia thinking. This mobile is the most expensive on the market, it costs around QR.3,600. Basically keep away from Nokia, they are rubbish mobiles. Once you start to use mobiles such as the Sony Erricsson 750i - you will never think about buying Nokia.

However I just saw this amazing Motorolla V-Razor ( D@G limited edition in gold). That is so amazing, so where can I buy it. I want it....apparently only 1000 copies were produced. But we all know that Limited Edition means nothing anymore. Anyway If you find a place where I can buy it, let me know...............................
